This is the first of a series of pages that show the starry sky as it appears from about 50° north latitude (about the latitude of the Netherlands and Belgium). Each of the small pictures below shows a small part of the sky that appears straight above you in such a location at a certain sidereal time which is noted alongside each picture, measured in hours. Each picture leads to a larger version in which the whole sky is shown (as seen from 50° north latitude) at that sidereal time.
